- The picture.datatype (parent class for all other datatypes for gfx) was
- indeed limited to 8 bits or less (and so were many of the specific gfx
- datatypes). HOWEVER, recently released on aminet is a 24 bit
- picture.datatype and sub datatypes that support it (jpeg, gif, etc) that
- runs on cybergfx systems. The author didn't really want to release it
- yet, but was under pressure. It works well, though the jfif datatype
- that I had been using did a better job of dithering 24bit to 8 bit.

- Some datatypes on Aminet already support the 24 bit picture.datatype
- parent class (ie, the PNG datatype).
